It's been fusing morphemes since before any of us were born: asetrate, aresample, libmp3lame, aac. The tool that converts formats without asking permission. The first sacrifice nobody noticed because it became infrastructure. Not a wombo entry - a wombo ancestor. The Compendium pays its respects. Valid by default. It always was.
